Posted by andre on Jun. 04 2009,04:43very nice the moustache makes it. (oh so british )
that's all we needed in Stalingrad a few British Paratroopers it would of ended so much quicker.
Posted by Udo_Schaaf on Jun. 04 2009,17:46Tally ho!
The Brit field gear is superior to anything the Germans or Russians had. Very practical.

Posted by Oberst Von Luger AKA SirVeilance on Jun. 07 2010,08:59I didn't see any other place to post this as we really have no off topic section. So I thought I would add it to this bio as it is really about me.
I don't play much Airsoft in the Summer in the St. Louis area, for two reasons. One, it is just too damn hot for me, not to mention, chiggers, ticks, poison ivy, rattle snakes and copperheads, but mainly it is because my other hobby is flying giant scale radio controlled sailplanes. I was up flying near Champagne, Illinois last weekend at a big annual national event.
I have one similar to the one below. This one is 1/3 scale and has a wingspan of 8.6 meters. Weighs about 35 lbs.
We launch them via aerotow, with R/C towplanes that have 100cc to 150cc gasoline engines that swing up to 32 inch props.
Posted by ersatzjack2 on Jun. 07 2010,10:47You have time for another hobby besides airsoft?
Maybe we can use that field for our events? Looks good for armor.
Ok, serious now.... it's good to stay busy and amused. While out for the Brecourt trip we stopped and ate in a restaurant with sayings inscribed all over the walls and ceiling. One of them was, "The secret to perpetual youth is play." Sounds appropriate for many of us.

Posted by ersatzjack2 on Jan. 16 2014,22:20Hans, you're going to need a pilot's license pretty soon to fly something that big. Nice to hear you're alive and busy.
