FYI

I ordered from Airsplat a few months ago and they sent me two out of six magazines and didn't tell me they were back ordered before proceeding with processing.  Sort of ticked me off.  I got the remaining four magazines two months later.  In general, I wasn't happy with Airsplat.  Their customer service is quite bad in my experience...it takes them a long time to answer emails.

I won't be using the MP-40 as my primary so provided you guys are careful I'll have 6 to loan out (unless I decide to use it myself that is  :D )

I will never again order from Airsplat.  I too ran into the issue with them not making it clear at all that items in the cart were out of stock.  Bigger problems involve flat out lying about an item's performance, shipping broken/non-working weapons, frakking up the process to get broken weapons replaced in a timely manner (if at all), then ignoring my repeated e-mails and calls for around two months, thus sticking me with two broken weapons.

I have four MP40 mags, with three more on order from Hotspot Airsoft.  They said they are on backorder, but should have them this coming week, so with luck I will have them for the game.  Airsoft Atlanta also has the AGM mags, but they want $22 a pop for them.  Airsoft Extreme has them too, but my last order from them (a simple one item thing) took them a week to ship, so I would not go with them if you want any hope of having them for Porkhov.

Wisconsin Airsoft Wars has some on back order as well. I have some on order, but they are not due in until the end of April! So if there are loaner magazines I would be very grateful, and very careful for sure.
Thankyou

As of this moment my MP40 is not being used at the game and Otto generally uses his springer over his MP40.  I'm sure we'll be able to scrounge some mags together for you at the event.

Speaking of carrying mags, is anyone aware of any images showing an MP40 user with more than one set of magazine pouches?  Seems like it would be relatively easy to throw on two pair to have 12 spare mags (and no, I am not planning to do this).

You wouldn't be issued enough magazines for this to happen.

Also, it would reduce your mobility enough to hamper movement noticeably, and considering movement is critical in CQC, doing such a thing would be sort of a suicide note.

It would be hard to hold up two sets of pouches unless you wore two sets of Y-straps.  But I haven't seen any proof that this would ever have been historically accurate.  But I'll defer to the more knowledgeable folks about that.

I guess I got lucky, just got all 5 mags and the battery today from airsplat.  I highly doubt any soldat would have ever carried 12 mags.  If it ever happened, it would probably been carried in a spare breadbag or something of that sort, way too much to carry though.  12 loaded mags would weigh a heck of a lot.
